- The Rock Garden of Chandigarh: The Rock Garden of Chandigarh is a statue garden for rock fans in Chandigarh. It is also acknowledged as Nek Chand Saini's Rock Garden of Nathupur. It has spread over an area of 40 acres and is totally made from industrial, home waste, and discarded items. The Rock Garden sits near Sukhna Lake. It comprises man-made interlinked waterfalls and many other monuments that have been made of scrap and other kinds of waste (bottles, glasses, bangles, tiles, ceramic pots, sinks, electrical waste, broken pipes, etc.) which are placed in enclosed paths.

This 3 km² rainfed lake was created in 1958 by blocking the Sukhna Choe, a seasonal stream coming down from the Shivalik Hills. The lake was built by Le Corbusier and Chief Engineer P L Verma. Sukhna Lake is the site for many festive celebrations. The most common is the Mango Festival organized during the monsoons when varieties of mangoes are on demonstration.
- Chandigarh Rose Garden: Chandigarh Rose Garden is also known as Zakir Hussain Rose Garden. It is a botanic garden spread over 30 acres, with 50,000 rose bushes of 1600 variety of species. Zakir Hussain Rose Garden was named after India's former president, Zakir Hussain, and formed in 1967 under the supervision of Mohinder Singh Randhawa who is Chandigarh's first chief commissioner. The garden has not only rose flowers but also trees of medicinal purpose. The best time to visit is between the months of February and March as the flowers are in full bloom during this season. The Rose Festival is also organized during these months, making it a fabulous time to visit.
- Mahendra Chaudhary Zoological Park: Mahendra Chaudhary Zoological Park, also known as Chhatbir Zoo is a zoological park situated on the Chandigarh-Zirakpur-Patiala route. Chhatbir Zoo is one of the largest zoological parks in North India. The zoo was inaugurated in 1977 by the governor of Punjab Mahendra Mohan Chaudhary, Initially, the zoo was populated by a small number of animals brought from Guwahati Zoo, Assam. Spread over an area of 505 acres, the Chhatbir Zoo is the largest zoological garden in North India now. It is situated on the right bank of river Ghaggar with Shivalik hills in the background. The Zoo has a wonderful deer safari where Sambar, Spotted Deer, Black Buck, and even Hog Deer roam together in habitation. The Deer Safari is spread over an area of 12 hectares. Lion Safari gives a thrill of life to the visitors where the king of the jungle roams openly. The Lion Safari is spread over an area of 8 hectares of natural forest having lion houses on edge. A Large number of Peacocks also roam freely inside the lion safari which gives an added attraction to the visitors. An artificial lake in the zoo is unique and attracts a large number of birds during the winter month.
